U-M Compliance Resource Center

International & Immigration Issues

U-M attracts students, scholars, staff and faculty from around the world - and it is important that we comply with all the necessary immigration laws and processes, both to protect the safety and security of the United States, and to ensure the best people from around the globe are able to come to U-M, lawfully and with minimum inconvenience. It is also critical that we comply with other laws relevant to international personnel and collaboration: including export control laws, anti-terrorism laws, and the laws of other countries (including entry or visa requirements) when U-M personnel travel overseas.
